The International School of the Peninsula seeks a Learning Specialist for the 2019-2020 school year, beginning in the middle of August.
The Learning Specialist must demonstrate commitment to ISTP’s mission and the population we serve, as well as be experienced with supporting students at the elementary and middle school level. They must also be responsible, self-motivated, friendly, willing to work with a team of colleagues, and be accepting and adaptable to a working environment with different cultures.
The position involves working in a bilingual school where teaching and learning happens through inquiry according to the PYP framework, while also ensuring foundational skill acquisition, and collaborating extensively with English, French, and Chinese teachers and students. ISTP seeks educators who know how to combine academic rigor with student engagement and have experience with inquiry-based teaching and learning.
- University degree
- Minimum 5 years experience teaching elementary school children
- Experience with the Primary Years Program (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) preferred
- Native/Near-native English Speaker
