Early Childhood Assistant Teacher - Mandarin

The International School of the Peninsula seeks an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year, beginning in the middle of August. 
The EYC Assistant Teacher must demonstrate commitment to ISTP’s mission and the population we serve, as well as be experienced with working with children at the early years level. They must also be responsible, self-motivated, friendly, willing to work with a team of colleagues, and be accepting and adaptable to a working environment with different cultures. 
The position involves assisting in a classroom of teaching through inquiry according to the PYP framework, while also ensuring foundational skill acquisition, and collaborating extensively with English, French, and Chinese teachers.  Time for collaboration with the teachers is built into the schedule. 
  • 12 Early Childhood Education Units minimum
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with Early Years age children
  • Experience with the Primary Years Program (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) preferred
  • Native Mandarin Speaker
