French Program

At ISTP, the Curriculum developed by the Ministry of Education of France is an intricate part of our curriculum. Our school has been officially accredited by the French Ministry since 1981.

Along with our English curriculum and IB PYP framework, the curriculum of the Ministry of Education of France is blended into ISTP's program to create a rich, multi-layered educational experience. Starting in Preschool, the inclusion of the French national curriculum extends to the end of Grade 8.
Students benefit from a rich curriculum allowing them to not only master French, but also learn through the lens of the French academic program.

At the end of 8th grade, our students are expected to have acquired the Common Base of Knowledge and Skills. These include a range of key competencies that go beyond academic excellence.

Our French immersion program with curriculum and instruction delivered primarily in French. A large majority of our teachers are certified by the French Ministry of National Education. In addition to their French studies, our students receive several hours of instruction in English from English teachers.

The School is accredited by the French Ministry of National Education from preschool through eighth grade, and is also a member of the Mission Laïque Française (MlfMonde).

In addition to these French accreditations, ISTP is accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Organization PYP and MYP programs.
