A FULL MERGER OF TWO OUTSTANDING BILINGUAL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS
On behalf of Silicon Valley International School’s (INTL) Board of Directors and Alto International School’s (Alto) Board of Trustees, we are proud to announce a full merger of Silicon Valley International School and Alto International School, united under the same name – Silicon Valley International School.
With this exciting alliance, Silicon Valley International School (INTL) will become the premiere international school on the west coast, offering French, Chinese, and German language programs for Preschool through 12th grades, and the full continuum of the International Baccalaureate – the Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programmes. All three rigorous, collaborative, bilingual programs will be fully integrated into a single exceptional international school.
Our union is guided by the shared values, similar mindsets, and aligned goals that first came into focus as our leadership and Boards worked together on our partnership, announced in January, to open a joint International Baccalaureate high school.
The full merger will take effect for the 2021-2022 academic year – the same timing we had planned for the opening of Silicon Valley International High School.
Over the course of our 41 years of history, we have been known to look towards the future, to innovate and evolve for the benefit of our students and families. In 1996, we added the Chinese Program and International Middle School, and changed our name from the Peninsula French American School to the International School of the Peninsula, to better reflect our programs and community. In 2020, we again changed our name to Silicon Valley International School to better reflect who we are, where we are, and our our values and mission as we move into this exciting next chapter.
Our logo, school colors, associated marketing materials and related documents will not be updated until August 2020.
