This year's Music Week is inspired by "The Five Elements.” In Asian cultures, the five elements are fire, wood, earth, water and metal. Each grade has taken inspiration from a different element: 1st Grade – earth, 2nd Grade – fire, 3rd Grade – water, 4th Grade – wood, 5th Grade – metal. The Five Elements theme has sparked amazing creativity in our students, and has allowed each grade and class to take its own unique approach. “Wood,” for example, might inspire a song about the material itself and its properties or a song about the forest and its inhabitants. As a result, our students have produced a program as diverse as the elements themselves.
