From Maile Uohara, Director of Admissions

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit our website. One of the most meaningful gifts you can give your child is the gift of an exemplary education - one that opens doors and puts your child on the right path. For close to four decades, the International School of the Peninsula has educated students through a rigorous and dynamic bilingual program that inspires them to develop an inquisitive and responsible international mindset.

True to our vision, an ISTP education is a transformative journey. Within a safe and nurturing environment, we encourage compassion, independence, action, and gratitude. We are dedicated to helping children become not only outstanding students, but outstanding individuals.

We do this through a top-notch innovative bilingual education - teaching math, science, and all the traditional disciplines via an inquiry-based approach, where students engage in a discussion around a particular concept and develop questions they would like to answer. This process fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills. The best part about this approach is that it’s done within the context of a bilingual education, where students are taught through an additional language and culture. The end result? Students with life-skills necessary for success - adaptability, collaboration, superior communication skills, and global awareness.

There is really nothing quite like seeing the vibrancy of a bilingual education first-hand, and I would be proud to show you around our two campuses. Come meet our teachers, see our classrooms, and learn what makes an outstanding school. I look forward to seeing you at one of our tours or open houses.

Sincerely,
Maile Uohara
