What is the Charlotte de Géry Endowment Fund?
Unrestricted contributions to the Charlotte de Géry Endowment Fund will not only sustain our school during unforeseen financail difficulties, but will also allow for enhancements to our current programs. As a general fund, it will pinpoint and focus on key areas such as increasing salaries to attract and retain high-quality faculty and staff, updating and providing a top-notch technology program to ensure students' high-value technology skills, educating students on renewable resources, and much more.
The Goal of the Endowment Fund
The goal for the Charlotte de Géry Endowment Fund is to raise $7 million by the end of the campaign. While deciding upon an amount to give to the school is a personal matter, donor gifts are usually large than annual gifts, and are spread out over a period of a few years. Your increased contribution to the Charlotte de Géry Endowment is your opportunity to leave a lasting legacy, to support the mission of the school, and to give the gift of a lifetime.
Endowment Fund Management
The School's Endowment is invested in a diversified portfolio of equity and fixed income securities managed by Commonfund, a leading provider of investment and services to educational institutions. The equity portion of the Endowment is invested using an actively managed, multi-manager program that is designed to add value over long time periods, above the return of the U.S. equity market as measured by the S&P 500 Index and to reduce risk in comparison to that of investing in the index. The Multi-Strategy Equity fund has significant allocations to opportunistic and diversifying strategies that investments are made through an actively managed, multi-manager investment program devoted to investing in high quality, investment-grade-only, U.S.-dollar denominated fixed income securities. The fixed income fund is designed to outperform its benchmark, the Lehman-Aggregate Bond Index, over a full market cycle while reducing risk through diversification of manager allocations.
