6th - 8th Grade The middle school at the International School of the Peninsula is a continuation of our elementary school. However in middle school, our Chinese and French programs become one international middle school. The students from both programs are mixed during the classes that are taught in English, and separated for classes that are being taught in Chinese or French. The French components of the International Middle School program are accredited by the French Ministry of Education. |

ISTP middle school teachers strongly believe that organizational and study skills are extremely important to the success of a student. Therefore, to prepare our students for the demands of high school, our students are taught how to manage their time in preparation for and to adapt to a rigorous academic environment. On average, middle school students have 2 hours of homework per night. Our middle school teachers are all native speakers and most of them hold a masters degree in the subject they teach. French, Chinese and English teachers have different demands and approaches to learning due to their different cultures. The various approaches to teaching allow students to develop enhanced problem solving skills. Teachers strive to teach to all types of learners, and vary their activities to engage all students.
