The 7th IB Spanish class is always learning about the different celebrations which are typical of Hispanic societies. For young Latino girls, nothing is more important than the FIESTA DE QUINCE or QUINCEANERA, the 15th birthday party which marks her entrance into society as a young woman. As the teacher's niece in Argentina will have her party on April 30, the class phoned her a few days before the event to talk with her about the event and how she had prepared for it. The students learned all the details of the FIESTA from MARIA-ANDREA as she answered the list of questions they had prepared for her. At the conclusion of the visit the students sang FELIZ CUMPLEANOS to the future 15-year-old.
