"Mural Walk" in San Francisco
with the Chinese 5th graders
The fifth grade Chinese students went on a guided tour of the Mission District of San Francisco to look at murals. The area is full of fascinating mural artwork painted on sides of buildings, fences, and garage doors. The docent from "Precita Eyes" led the tour and interpreted several of the murals, many of which had strong links to political themes and community spirit. The field trip was arranged by teachers, Jodie Williams and Martin Pardey.
