Third graders studied fruits and vegetables by reviewing and taking notes from a CDRom called "Five a Day". They also looked up their particular food in the encyclopedia and took notes. Finally they created a poster with a pararaph about their assigned fruit or vegetable . The poster had other requirements, as well, such as a picture or photograph of the food and captions for any pictures. Each student told facts about his or her fruit or vegetable and then shared a sample. The favorite part of this project was the sampling. All the third grade rooms were opened for visitors, and the students went from room to room munching on great tasting fruits and vegetables. |
